Why register your child in our camp?

The Summer Camp of La Petite École de Chicago is an opportunity to offer your child a taste for the French language and culture.

For newly enrolled full time students, Summer Camp is an early chance to get to know their school, their teacher and make new friends.

Our program is play based. Throughout the Summer Camp, children participate in arts and crafts, paint, cook, play outside, listen to stories, have picnics, and more. Although each activity is in French, no prior knowledge of the language is required.

Summer camp 2023

6 weeks from June 19 to July 28.

We offer a 6-week French immersion camp. You can register for all 6 weeks or choose only the weeks you need.

Week1: 06/19 to 06/23

Week 2: 06/26 to 06/30

Week 3: 07/03 to 07/07 (no camp on 07/04: Independence Day)

Week 4: 07/10 to 07/14

Week 5: 07/17 to 07/21

Week 6: 07/24 to 07/28

Hours

During the camp, we welcome your child(ren) Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Aftercamp

Because some parents cannot pick up their children at 3:00 PM, La Petite École de Chicago proposes an Aftercamp until 4:00 PM for $95/week.

We offer summer camps at both of our locations:

Winnetka: 620 Lincoln Ave, Winnetka, IL 60093
Hyde Park: 5200 S Hyde Park Blvd, Chicago, IL 60615

Price BEFORE March 31st

Here are the prices before March 31st:

$350/week for LPEC Parents
$400/week for non-LPEC Parents

Price AFTER March 31st

$400/week for LPEC Parents
$450/week for non-LPEC Parents

Payment methods

Two payment methods are available to you. You can choose to pay by check to "La Petite École de Chicago" or by Venmo @LPEC2023.

What you need to know.

Summer camp Tshirt

A camp T-shirt will be provided to each child with sign up. You can purchase additional T-shirts for the cost of $15 each.

What you need to pack for your child

Please make sure to pack every item on the list below:

lunch for your child: no peanuts or treenuts (and only in Hyde Park: no meat nor shellfish)
A change of clothes
Reusable bottle of water
Sunglasses
Hat
Sunscreen

Cancellation & refunds

A $50 fee is applied to cancellation and refund requests. The cancellation deadline is May 31st, 2023. After this date, we will not allow any refunds.
